How to Give
Your gift to the University of Richmond will make a difference for generations to come. For your comfort and convenience, there are many ways to give.
Online Giving: Our secure site allows you to make a contribution online using your VISA, MasterCard, American Express or Discover.
Funds Transfer: You can set up your online contribution as an electronic funds transfer (EFT). See our secure online giving form for more information.
Stocks: Gifts of stocks or mutual funds are an inexpensive and effective way to support Richmond. The University receives the full value of the gift, and you don't have to pay capital gains taxes on those shares.
Payroll Deduction: Faculty and staff may contribute to the University through regular payroll deductions. Contact Catherine Vincent (804-287-6420) in Advancement Services for more information.
Matching Gifts: You may be able to double the impact of your gift to Richmond.
Honorary or Memorial Gifts: These gifts provide a thoughtful way to honor or remember important people in our lives while providing meaningful support to the University. An acknowledgement of the gift (excluding its amount) will be sent to the honoree's family or other individuals designated by the donor to receive it. Contact Laurel Hayward, director of donor relations and stewardship, at 804-289-8658 for more information.
Phone-a-thon: Many universities use professional telemarketing firms to generate support for their annual funds, but we have found that no one can express the hopes and dreams we share for the University of Richmond better than our own students.
