CLASS GIVING TEAM
Becky McKinney
5th, 10th, 15th, 20th
As Associate Director of Annual Giving, Becky McKinney leads the Class Giving team and manages the annual Senior Legacy Campaign. Becky first joined the University of Richmond in 2016 as Administrative Coordinator for the Major Gifts team and the parent giving program, and then moved to the Class Giving team as Assistant Director in 2018.
Becky graduated from the University of Virginia with a bachelor’s degree in English. Her husband and fellow Wahoo, Daniel, is an assistant principal in Hanover County with a graduate certificate in Educational Leadership & Policy from UR. When she’s off campus, Becky loves spending time with her daughter, Laura, and spoiled-rotten cat, York.
Jordan Hunt
25th, 30th, 35th, 40th, 45th
Jordan Hunt joined the Office of Annual Giving in March 2018 as Administrative Coordinator for the class giving team. She began her current role as Assistant Director of Class Giving in January 2022.
A native of Salem, Virginia, she graduated from James Madison University in 2015 with a bachelor's degree in Health Sciences. Jordan resides in Moseley and enjoys spending time with her husband, Tyler, and daughters, Anna and Harper.
Gabbie Strickland
50th
As Director of Annual Giving, Gabbie Strickland leads the Office of Annual Giving which has a mission to inspire a culture of philanthropy among alumni, parents, and friends by fostering meaningful connections, encouraging annual support, and offering volunteer opportunities that generate vital current-use funds for the University and its top priorities. Reunions and Class Giving play an important role in the culture of philanthropy that strengthens the University of Richmond. Gabbie joined the Office of Annual Giving in 2025, and prior to that she oversaw the Annual Giving team at the Naval Academy Foundation in Annapolis, MD.
Gabbie graduated from the University of Virginia with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology. Gabbie started her career in fundraising as a student at UVA and continued to remain involved as an alumna through service on reunion committees and through the Young Alumni Council. When she’s off campus, Gabbie enjoys exploring her new hometown Richmond, with her golden retriever, Amelia Rose.
ALUMNI ENGAGEMENT TEAM
Megan Dooley Phillips, '13
15th - 50th
Megan joined the University of Richmond in 2018 and currently serves as the Associate Director for Alumni Engagement, Campus and Signature Events. In this role, Megan focuses on engaging alumni in the life of their alma mater by bringing graduates back to campus for Homecoming and Reunion Weekends. She works with reunion committees as they prepare to celebrate milestone years and plans signature receptions in cities around the world to establish connections between alumni and University administrators, faculty, and staff.
Megan is a double Spider, with a B.A. in Leadership Studies and a Master's in Human Resource Management from the University of Richmond. She has had lifelong connection to Richmond, as her father, Bill Dooley, R '83, G '87, is a Spider men's basketball alum and former coach. Megan has worked in higher education for nearly a decade, previously working with the regional initiatives program within Alumni Relations and also serving in a variety of Athletics department roles at William & Mary and the University of Richmond.
Brennan Straits
5th, 10th
Brennan joined the Alumni Engagement Team in 2025 as the Assistant Director for Regional and Young Graduate Engagement. In this role, Brennan works directly with young graduates and volunteers to help facilitate engaging opportunities across the county to help build a diverse and connected alumni network. Brennan holds a Bachelor's degree in International Relations and Security Studies from the University of Lynchburg, where he also competed as a NCAA DIII student-athlete in cross country and track and field. Before joining the Alumni Engagement team, he worked as a Graduate Assistant Track and Field Coach at the University of Lynchburg, where he earned a Master of Public Health (MPH). During his time as an undergraduate, Brennan was actively involved in the campus community, participating in National Model United Nations, Student Government Association and the Student Athlete Advisory Council (SAAC). Brennan has a vibrant energy for learning, collaboration, genuine human connection, and teamwork. Outside of work, he can be found drinking coffee at a nearby coffeeshop or on the local trails running or biking!
